NJHS Winter Holiday Charity Dance

Friday, December 11, 2009 at 2:15 in the MPMS Commons.

NJHS will be sponsoring the dance to raise funds for the Annual MPMS Senior Citizen's Holiday Dinner. 

Music and Concessions will be available.

Tickets are $3 and will be sold at lunches December 7-11.

COMMUNITY SERVICE

A reminder for all members to complete community service requirements prior to each quarter's end! 

* At our most recent meeting, members debated the details of the individual service projects and voted to accept the following rules:

1) No more than three NJHS members can be involved in a particular project. This ensures that a variety of projects will occur throughout the community. Additionally, if there is more than one member for a given project, each must have a job distinct and different from the other members.

2) Students are required to perform a minimum of two hours of service each academic quarter to meet their individual service project requirements. This service must apply to one project or task, but may occur over two periods of time (e.g. one hour cleaning a park on one day and another hour on another day.) The minimum amount of time for any day of service is one hour. Students are definitely encouraged to perform more service than the minimum required amount!
