Saving the best for last…
Manassas Park Middle School was presented with the most prestigious award in the entire competition. This award is called the “Esprit de Corps” Award. It is presented to one school in the entire competition. When defined, it means “the capacity of people to maintain belief in an institution or goal, or even in oneself and others”. It was presented as such and additionally defined as a musicianship award. The middle school had some pretty stiff competition, including a school with a choir of 173! Our kids were just so excited to receive this award. It has been quite a while since the award has been won by MPMS and the kids were overjoyed…as were the music department instructors!

Mr. Carden, Mrs. Eckstein, and Mrs. Solarczyk are all very proud of our amazing musicians! Please congratulate our students when you see them!
