Whether this is your first year in education or you are continuing your career with us, we are happy you are here! This website contains important information about your orientation week, which runs from August 4 - August 7. During Orientation, you can expect to learn more about MPCS, essential teaching skills, instructional technology programs, and more!
Monday, August 4 - 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM
Manassas Park Middle School
Our welcome celebration will begin at Manassas Park Middle School. New teachers will be introduced to our school division and community leaders, and hear from Human Resources. New teachers will learn more about our school community with a bus tour and lunch at the Manassas Park Community Center.
In the afternoon, new teachers will have school-based meetings with their administrators and Lead Teacher Mentors.
Tuesday, August 5 - 8:00 - 4:00 PM
Circuit to Teaching Success, Manassas Park Middle School
New teachers will rotate through sessions by school to learn essential teaching skills, such as lesson planning, unpacking standards, ESOL strategies, Canvas, and more.
Wednesday, August 6 - 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM
Report to the campus in which your school is located.
Elementary Campus:
During the morning session, new teachers will meet with the Division Instructional Team on items specific to content areas. In the afternoon, you will return to your school to meet with Lead Mentor Teachers.
ALL New Special Education Teachers will have a separate training beginning at 1 PM.
Secondary Campus:
During the morning session, new teachers will meet with our Special Education, Human Resources, and Student Services Team. In the afternoon, you will return to your school to meet with Lead Mentor Teachers.

Thursday, August 7 - 8:00 - 4:00 PM
Manassas Park Middle School and School Campuses
In the morning, ALL new teachers will participate in our Conscious Classroom workshop with guest Katie Anderson.
In the afternoon, new teachers will return to their school campus.
Elementary Campus:
After lunch, new teachers will meet with our Special Education, Human Resources, and Student Services Team.
Secondary Campus:
New teachers will meet with the Division Instructional Team on items specific to content areas.
