Principal's Corner

Photo of Pam KalsoDear parents and/or guardians,

On behalf of the faculty and staff at Manassas Park High School, it is my privilege to welcome you to the 2020-2021 school year! I hope this message finds you and your family doing well and staying safe.

Things have evolved quickly over the summer, especially as the district moved from a hybrid model to a virtual one. Teachers returned to campus and worked through extensive professional development in August on remote teaching and learning. They created detailed Canvas courses for each of their classes. In comparison to the Spring, you are going to see an elevated level of teaching and learning, including synchronous instruction Tuesday-Friday in all four blocks. Monday’s will be an asynchronous day. Attendance will be taken each day for each block and students will earn grades on their work and assessments.

The high school day will be 8:00-3:30 and follow this schedule:

MPHS Virtual Bell Schedule, 8 AM-3:30 PM (Tuesday-Friday)

1st Block: 8:00-9:00

1st Block Cougar Time: 9:00-9:30
