MPCS Parent Confirmation of Hybrid Return to School Selection
It’s time to select the hybrid or virtual model for your child for second semester.
Selecting the hybrid model for your student indicates a return-to-classroom instruction for your student when available. As currently designed, hybrid students will attend in-person classes two days per week while experiencing a virtual, concurrent learning environment when not onsite. This concurrent learning includes the students who are in-person on their designated day while the “at home” students are connected via video conferencing at the same time with the same teacher. Those educators who are teaching concurrently will manage both students in-person and students online during specific instructional times and activities.
Opting for the virtual model indicates that your student will remain in a remote learning program for the duration of the second semester of the 2020-2021 school year. The virtual model will follow the same process that MPCS currently operates under.
In both the hybrid and virtual models of teaching and learning, Mondays will remain asynchronous, and synchronous instruction will occur Tuesday through Friday.
Please login to your PowerSchool Parent Portal account to complete the survey.
The survey must be completed for ALL school-age children in your household. If the survey is not completed, your child will default to the hybrid model.
Surveys must be completed by December 14, 2020. This deadline will permit ample time to account for transportation needs for students as well as any needed classroom changes.
