Rachel Kirkland

Ms. Rachel Kirkland has been a member of the Manassas Park School Board since 2008 and is the School Board Representative to the Special Education Advisory Committee.

Prior to her service as a School Board member, she served on the Special Education Advisory (2004­-2008), as well as on the City of Manassas Revenue Sharing Committee. She has two sons who graduated from Manassas Park City Schools.

In addition to her school duties, Ms. Kirkland is a Media Specialist for a neighboring school division. She holds a bachelor's degree in English from George Mason University and a Masters' in Information Sciences from the University of Tennessee.

Paul Alexander, Vice Chair

Paul Alexander

Mr. Paul Alexander is a 15-year resident of Manassas Park and currently has two children enrolled in Manassas Park City Schools. He, and his wife Kelly, enjoy attending and being deeply involved with their children's activities and sporting events, valuing family time, and being outdoors as much as possible.

Mr. Alexander is the Director of Operations and Logistics for a government IT provider and holds a B.B.A in Organizational Management from Radford University.

Mr. Alexander has always been a strong and active supporter of MPCS and is excited about the opportunity to continue to serve the community.


 

Stacy Seiberling

Stacy Fleming

Ms. Stacy Seiberling is a 22-year resident of Manassas Park with three children currently attending Manassas Park schools. She has first-hand experience interacting with a variety of educational services, providing her with insight of the spectrum of student needs. She is a strong advocate of vocational education and students graduating with a plan, not just a diploma.

Ms. Seiberling is an IT Project Manager, understanding the needs of her clients and delivering IT systems to meet those needs. She has worked with educators and administrators in DC Public Schools, California Public Schools, and North Carolina Public Schools. Currently, Ms. Seiberling works for Prince William County Government serving the County's departments as an IT Project Manager. Specifically, she works closely with Fire and Rescue, Public Works, Social Services and the County Executive's Office.

Ms. Seiberling has also serves the Prince William County employees by chairing the Employee Advisory Council.

Shaunté Jones

Shaunté Jones

Ms. Shaunté Jones is a 10-year resident of Manassas Park. She has 20 years in the field of education and has filled various roles, such as 3rd Grade Teacher, Assistant Principal, Education Director, Professional Development Coordinator, and Instructional Coach/Learning Lab Manager in Virginia and DC. She is currently a Management and Program Analyst with the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, Administration for Children and Families, in the Office of Head Start in Washington, DC.

Ms. Jones attended Mary Washington College where she earned a BS in Psychology and MS in Elementary Education. She also attended The George Washington University where she earned an Ed.S. in Educational Leadership and Administration. Ms. Jones is currently a doctoral candidate at Baylor University, where she is pursuing her Ed.D. in Learning and Organizational Change.

Ms. Jones has a passion for teaching and learning and is excited about the opportunity to serve her community in this role.

 

Ellen Slobodnik

Ellen PictureMs. Ellen Slobodnik has been in education for the past 11 years and has filled various roles such as Middle School and High School Social Studies Teacher, Instructional Lead Teacher, Professional Development Lead, Curriculum and Assessment Writer, Testing Coordinator, Technology Lead, Master Scheduler, and Athletic Director. She is currently an Assistant Principal in MD. 

 

Ms. Slobodnik attended the University of Maryland where she received a BA in History, Government and Politics, and was part of the Honors Education Program. She continued her studies at UMD and received her Master's in Curriculum and Instruction. 

 

Ms. Slobodnik is passionate about educational technology and helping students make a difference. She is excited about joining the Manassas Park Community and supporting all stakeholders of the school community. 

 

Dana Williams, School Board Clerk

Dana Williams

Ms. Dana Williams has been the School Board Clerk of the Manassas Park City School Board since 2010. She also served as a member of the Manassas Park City School Board from 2003 - 2009.

Ms. Williams has lived in Manassas Park since 1994 and has two sons who are graduates of Manassas Park High School.

In addition to her School Board Clerk duties, Ms. Williams is an integral member of the Human Resources department and assists with the hiring of our substitute employees.
