Manassas Park City Schools: Registration Requirements

Students who are bona fide residents of The City of Manassas Park may register for school if all registration requirements are met. The burden of establishing and/or providing proof of the student’s residence is the responsibility of the parent or guardian.

REGISTRATION REQUIREMENTS - ENGLISH & SPANISH


  1. Primary Proof of Residency (required)
    Title, deed or deed of trust, mortgage booklet, mortgage statement for residential property
    Settlement documentation from new home purchase if the deed has not been recorded
    Current rental or lease agreement for residential property or military housing
    Notarized Resident Manager’s letter with company letterhead stating residence of parent and child OR a notarized letter from the Landlord/Leaseholder with accompanying lease or mortgage statement from the Landlord/Leaseholder.
    For active-duty military parents – Military orders or official letter from the service member’s command indicating the relocation.

  2. Secondary Proof of Residency (2 required)
    Car registration
    Car insurance policy statement or card
    Utility bill in parent or legal guardian’s name (water, gas, electric, landline phone bill) or utility hook-up documentation within the last two months. If all utilities are covered in leasing contract, a notarized letter from the property manager or landlord must be provided stating this information.
    Personal property tax bill
    Bank statement (two consecutive within the past two months with current Manassas Park address)/Change of address statement from bank
    Current payroll stub with current Manassas Park address
    Voter registration
    Department of Social Services benefits/application document

  3. Parent/Guardian Photo Identification. A driver's license, walker's identification card, military ID, passport, or Real ID are suitable.

  6. School Health Form/Physical Exam: State law (Ref. Code of Virginia § 22.1-270) requires that your child is immunized and receives a comprehensive physical examination within one year before entering public kindergarten or elementary school.

  7. Legal Guardianship or Custodial Agreement:  If you are a divorced parent or the guardian of a minor child, you must provide documentation from the court granting you custody of the child. You must contact the Prince William County Juvenile Court and request a date for a review of your guardianship. A letter or appointment card from the court will suffice until such time as your case can be reviewed. Upon determination of the case and if you are granted guardianship, you must provide the school with a copy of this final documentation.
